Responsibilities to handle a busy litigation docket include :
- Understanding of the laws and statutes that apply to the potential recovery of each case
- Provide legal counsel to clients, explaining legal processes and potential outcomes in clear and understandable terms.
- Building strong attorney-client relationships based on trust, empathy, and effective communication.
- Prepare and file legal documents, including discovery, motions, and briefs, accurately and within deadlines.
- Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
- Engage in negotiations with opposing counsel, insurance companies, and other parties to secure favorable settlements for clients.
- Prepare for and attend trial as a first chair attorney
- Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to ensure efficient case progress.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior attorneys, sharing your expertise and helping them develop their skills.
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the State of Texas
- Minimum of 3-5 years of litigation experience with a primary focus on personal injury law.
- Proven track record of successfully litigating personal injury cases, including trials and settlements.
- Exceptional analytical, research, and writing skills.
- Strong negotiation and advocacy abilities.
- Leadership qualities and a demonstrated ability to mentor and guide junior attorneys.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- High level of professionalism, ethics, and integrity.
