Job DescriptionThe Law Offices of Mark Weinstein, P.C. seeks to hire an experienced Real Estate Attorney to join its growing real estate and civil litigation practice. This is a new role within the Firm, and the attorney will establish residential and commercial real estate closing services and lead the practice in this area.

Most of the Firm’s work is eminent domain or condemnation law work for the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT). Other services include eminent domain or condemnation law work for private property owners against non-state condemning authorities, including counties and municipalities. The Firm is transitioning and expanding its practice to include residential and commercial real estate closings, real estate litigation for individuals and institutions, and other real estate law matters.

How You Will Make An ImpactResponsibilities*
- Facilitate and oversee real estate closing transactions from contract to closing
- Conduct title examinations/reviews and clear any outstanding title issues as needed
- Review and analyze real estate contracts, title commitments, loan documents, and other closing documents
- Draft/review closing or other legal documents, including settlement statements, purchase and sale agreements, conveyance deeds, etc.
- Communicate with clients, real estate agents, lenders, and other parties to coordinate closings
- Conduct residential and/or commercial real estate closings
- This is a general list of responsibilities and is subject to change based on the Firm’s needs
- Law degree from a fully accredited law school
- Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia
- Minimum of 4 years of real estate closing experience
- Client service and communication skills
- Detail-oriented
- Organized, driven initiative-taker
- Writing and oral advocacy skills
- Flexible with a willingness to grow
- A positive, unpretentious attitude
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
- Preferred additional qualification: Demonstrated experience in real estate law conducting residential and/or commercial closings and clearing title.
