Lawless Group is Hiring a Product Merchandiser Near Dallas, TX

Summary

The Product Merchandiser is responsible for supporting the company’s product development and marketing. The Product Merchandiser will serve as an expert in a series of products, develop sales, identify opportunities, and recommend improvements to increase revenue and drive overall profitability. The Product Merchandiser takes full ownership of their assigned products, overseeing the portfolio within the respective Pro Line brands. With a primary focus on achieving and surpassing sales and profitability targets, the Product Merchandiser will navigate through market dynamics and proactively manage challenges. 

Duties

Product Development:

  • Support the new product development process by maintaining product roadmaps, emphasizing innovation and design-driven solutions that address end-user needs
  • Effectively translate end-user applications, market, and distribution/channel needs and trends to ensure that new products exceed business expectations. 
  • Produce and sustain competitive analysis materials for the portfolio, ensuring alignment with business objectives for growth, margin, and market impact.

Category Management:

  • Formulate marketing strategies by product line, establishing target financial performance objectives, and periodically reviewing product offerings to provide recommendations regarding continuation, expansion, or discontinuation.
  • Regularly review and monitor product pricing and margins, making recommendations and adjustments as necessary.
  • Monitor product sales performance, evaluate marketing successes, and financial performance, contributing insights to the budgeting process as directed. 

Marketing/Sales Support:

  • Collaborate with marketing to develop messaging for catalogs, sell sheets, and other supporting sales materials essential for successful product launches. 
  • Furnish copy, technical information, and support materials to marketing for advertising, packaging, catalogs, and other promotional efforts as required.
  • Assist with product launches, marketing plans, market analysis, product insights and launch presentations. 
  • Support sales efforts by ensuring timely development of programs, promotions, and sales materials. 
  • Engage with end-users, key dealers, and accounts, participating in relevant tradeshow events as necessary.
  • Prepare and deliver line reviews and competitive analysis presentations.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities and projects as assigned, pertinent to the role.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and 3-5 years’ experience in industrial/construction product management.
  • Comprehensive understanding of working with overseas manufactures (east Asia specifically), product life cycle management, and product packaging. 
  • Understanding PIM by creating and loading information.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics and others)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Experience in a fast-paced, team, and customer service environment. 
  • Self-driven with a strong business growth mindset and a commitment to professional development.

Prior experience working with tangible goods are required for this role.
