Market leading insurance firm is looking to find a hands-on leader to grow their Generative AI practice in New York. This position sits in the wider Data team ran by the Chief Data & Analytics Officer.

This hire is fully supported by CEO and senior leadership and seen as a key hire, business wide, to build out an industry leading GenAI team working closely with the Head of ML Ops.

Key for this position, is finding someone with experience delivering Generative AI into production, as opposed to only working on POC's. Recent NLP experience (both development and deployment/integration) will be advantageous.

To succeed in this position you will need to be competent programmer in either R, Python, SPARK, or SQL and be very comfortable in the professional software development process.

To begin with you will have a small team who you will be expected to support and develop, but you will also be able to leverage the wider Data Science division when needed. You will also be given the time and financial investment needed to grow the team.

In a large, established business such as this, you will need to be able to manage up and down so excellent stakeholder management capabilities will be key.

A degree in statistics, computer science, mathematics, or equivalent is expected for this position.
