Title: High School Intervention Specialist
Who We Are:
The High School Learning Center (HLC) works with over-aged and under-credited students in the Lawrence Public Schools. We are an autonomous school located at 1 Parker Street Lawrence, Lawrence MA. HLC offers various pathways to graduation. Students at HLC can be enrolled full time or part time, have in-person classes, hybrid or online classes, or a flexible schedule personalized to meet their individual needs. Many of our classes are of a small size (8-12 students), allowing the opportunity for students and staff to build strong relationships.

Role:
As the Academic Interventionist, you will be a vital member of our Student Support Team. You will identify and design direct interventions for diverse students. You will assist in developing a systematic school-wide approach to Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS). You will facilitate and coordinate the implementation of a classroom intervention program. Lastly, you will provide direct curriculum and instructional support services to teachers including effective strategies and intervention.

Team:
You will work alongside the Student Support Team, SST, as well as the other staff members in the school. You will collaborate with the administration team and teachers to provide direct intensive intervention with students. You will meet with your team each week in a professional learning community for professional development, to talk about student work, and to support instruction. You will also receive ongoing supervision by a school administrator.
