Position Summary

Are you a dynamic and experienced Construction Project Manager looking for your next challenge? Join Lawton Business Solutions as we provide both candidates and our clients with opportunity, where you'll oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. As a Construction Project Manager, you'll coordinate with various stakeholders, ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You'll lead project teams, manage resources, and maintain strong communication with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget. Identify project milestones and deliverables.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage project teams, including subcontractors, suppliers, and onsite personnel. Assign tasks and responsibilities, ensuring clarity and accountability.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial targets are met. Approve expenditures and manage project finances effectively.
  • Schedule Management: Create and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of all phases. Identify potential delays and implement corrective actions.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all construction work meets the company’s quality standards and complies with relevant codes and regulations. Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor and address issues as they arise to minimize impact on project timelines and costs.
  • Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, stakeholders, and project teams. Provide regular updates on project status, changes, and any issues that arise.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, progress reports, and other relevant records.
  • Compliance: Ensure all project activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Obtain necessary permits and licenses for construction activities.
  • Safety Management: Promote and enforce a strong safety culture on all project sites. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CCM) are a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management, with a proven track record of successfully completing projects on time and within budget.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
    • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Attributes:
    • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
    • Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
    • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Working Conditions
  • Physical Demands: Ability to walk, stand, and climb for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Work Environment: Primarily field-based with frequent visits to construction sites. May involve exposure to varying weather conditions and construction hazards.
  • Travel Requirements: Frequent travel to project sites and other company locations as required.

  • Schedule: Full-time position with standard working hours; may require occasional evening or weekend work to meet project deadlines.
