Date: 21 July 2024
Position SummaryThe Pump Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and scheduling the operation of pumping systems within the organization. This role ensures that all pumping activities are efficiently planned and executed to meet operational requirements and minimize downtime. The Pump Scheduler works closely with maintenance, operations, and logistics teams to optimize pump usage and ensure the reliability and efficiency of pumping systems.Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule Coordination: Develop and maintain a comprehensive schedule for all pumping operations, considering maintenance needs, operational demands, and resource availability.
  • Operational Planning: Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to plan and prioritize pumping activities, ensuring optimal performance and minimal disruptions.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor the status of all pumping systems and provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders. Generate reports on pump performance, usage, and downtime.
  • Resource Management: Ensure that all necessary resources (personnel, equipment, parts) are available and allocated efficiently to meet scheduled pumping activities.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for all pump scheduling matters, coordinating with internal teams and external contractors as necessary.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and address any scheduling conflicts or issues that arise, making adjustments to the schedule as needed to maintain smooth operations.
  • Compliance: Ensure all pumping activities comply with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in scheduling and pump operations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in scheduling, operations, or a related field; experience with pumping systems or industrial equipment is a plus. Previous Experience with SQUARE preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel)
    • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attributes:
    • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift to 25 pounds and perform occasional manual labor.
  • Work Environment: Primarily office-based with occasional visits to field sites or pumping stations. May involve exposure to varying weather conditions and industrial environments.
Additional Information
  • Travel Requirements: Occasional travel to field sites or other company locations.
  • Schedule: Full-time position with standard working hours; may require occasional evening or weekend work to address urgent scheduling needs.
