Job Description
Layer 7 Consulting is a full service Managed Service provider based in Parsippany, NJ with offices in New York and Chicago. Layer 7’s client base consists of several verticals including professional services, financial, pharmaceutical/healthcare, light manufacturing, government contractors, nonprofit and education.
- Troubleshoot issues with client workstations, servers, printers, email, backup, applications, etc.
- Learn software/hardware used and supported by our company
- Experience performing hardware installation and issue resolution
- Strong desktop support/implementation skills for Windows 10-11, Mac OSX
- Working knowledge of peripherals (printers, scanners, copiers, etc.)
- MS Office products and Office365 Email knowledge
- Windows servers (some server installation/maintenance experience preferred)
- Highly self-motivated, ability to prioritize, and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills (both verbally and written)
- A valid driver's license since this position entails occasional traveling to client sites throughout New York and northern NJ Travel to client sites within a 20-30-mile radius to perform hardware/software installation, resolve IT issues that cannot be resolved remotely, and other various item
