Job Description:
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other construction documents to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for bidding construction projects.
- Read and understand all the project documents, drawings, qualifications, specifications, project manuals, schedules, etc.
- Prepare and estimate costs for all scopes including, curtainwall, storefront, storefront doors, glass partitions, glass doors, glass handrails, structural glass walls, metal panels, etc...
- Obtain pricing for materials, equipment, and any subcontractor pricing required.
- Assist the general contractor with creating adequate project schedule timeframes for our work.
- Develop and cultivate relationships with the construction industry.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors.
- Verify scope and price of contract matches the bid proposal.
- Sell products and answer questions for all customers.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Work collaboratively with Project Management Team and Field Operations.
- Write proposals in a professional business format.
- Run kick-off meetings to project managers.
- Will be responsible for knowing the basics in the following areas: system fabrication and installation, structural calculations, glass industry terminology and building codes.
- Will use their personal schedule to set daily and weekly priorities that allow them to meet multiple bidding deadlines simultaneously.
- Attends presentation meetings to clients as required.
- Understand and be able to produce submittal information based on the specified and estimated requirements.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in storefront and glazing application, commercial construction background, and glass and framing systems.
- Detail oriented and possess the ability to work cross departmentally as needed.
- Customer service oriented individual and experience.
- Effective and clear communicator to be able to accurately and concisely speak and write to internal departments and external customers.
- Keen ability to manage time and multiple tasks at once.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
