Job Title: Director of Revenue Management & Solution Design

Job DescriptionThe Sr. Solution Design and Revenue Manager is responsible for creating tailored solutions for targeted customers and ensuring that pricing strategies align with commercial growth objectives. This role involves close collaboration with operations and sales to review and justify rates, and execute pricing plans. Additionally, the position focuses on improving brokerage volume and reducing unbilled miles through the use of pricing models. This individual will also work to automate and streamline processes based on win rates.
Essential Functions/Specific Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with customers and operational teams to optimize new and existing business through network integration opportunities.
  • Develop and implement strategies for pricing intermodal, dedicated, and one-way business.
  • Commercialize solutions through cost and pricing models.
  • Lead the pricing and marketing team.
  • Become a subject matter expert in solution design within a specific skill, technology, or business area.
  • Work with business development and pricing teams to ensure high-quality solutions are presented to customers for new business and renewal proposals.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of data science models integrated into business processes.
  • Conduct in-depth research and data analysis to provide insights and action recommendations.
  • Perform complex revenue management analysis.
  • Identify technology and process inefficiencies in collaboration with other teams.
  • Develop advanced dashboards, reports, and analytical tools.
  • Provide recommendations on data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing to support revenue management analytics.
  • Maintain dashboards to visualize the company's perspective on the current and future state of the market.
  • Maintain an on-site presence in the office 4-5 days per week.
Qualification, Education, And Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Effective time management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of transport solutions design within automated pricing functions
  • Understanding of the industry sectors, customers, and products
  • Experience with data manipulation and modeling technology
  • Understanding of network design and operations
  • Experience in modeling, extrapolating, and interpreting data to inform the solutions design process
  • Ability to find innovative solutions to problems and define concepts independently
  • Focus on increasing efficiency and improving service
  • Experience in stakeholder management and project ownership
