LB Structural Engineering is a growing structural engineering firm located in Fort Myers, FL. The firm specializes in providing comprehensive structural engineering services to clients in Southwest Florida and its surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities

• Develop engineering calculations for structural steel, concrete, masonry, cold-formed steel, and wood-framed structures in accordance with building codes and design standards under the guidance of licensed engineers.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for projects and ensure client needs are met.
• Work closely with other engineers and draftsmen and collaborate with project team to ensure project success.
• Assist in business development initiatives as required including proposal preparation, client meetings and project bidding.
• Travel locally to conduct structural condition assessments and write technical reports/letters based on findings.
• Developing working knowledge of structural engineering design standards such as ASCE 7, Florida Building Code, etc.
• Perform construction administration phase services (submittal review, respond to RFI’s, conduct site visits).

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit and Bluebeam
• Experience with structural design software (Risa Suites, Tedds, Enercalc)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
• Ability to work and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with project team members and clients
• BS or MS degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Structural Engineering
• 0-3 years of experience
• EIT License preferred
