LCS is Hiring a Director, Revenue Cycle Management Near Des Moines, IA

The Director, Revenue Cycle Management oversees and manages all revenue cycle activities for LCS to maximize reimbursement and cash collections in a cost-effective manner that follows federal, state and payer-specific billing requirements. This position is responsible for leading a team of billing and finance experts to achieve this goal.

The Role:

  • Provide strategic direction for the revenue cycle function at LCS. Drive innovation, operational and technological enhancements, and standardization by leveraging best practices and processes.
  • Develop a comprehensive strategy to respond to current and future challenges presented by legislation and compliance in order to monitor and address changing revenue cycle practices
  • Consult with the Health Services Division, communities, and vendors to develop efficient, patient-focused solutions
  • Maintains functional accountability for the insurance claim function which includes: monitoring the status of claims, denials management and tracking ADR requests in partnership with Health Services Division
  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing rendered patient services and reimbursement
  • Collaborate with corporate team to establish and drive departmental and organizational key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards around revenue cycle operations.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures governing revenue cycle management and billing compliance for the organization.
  • Investigate and analyze issues, root causes, patterns, or trends and identify and implement process improvement actions in support of revenue cycle objectives.
  • Optimize revenue cycle management systems to improve efficiency and accuracy of both billing and collections efforts
  • Provide routine updates to leadership of key trends, KPI's, changes to third party payment policies and regulations and organizational risks and opportunities.
  • Responsible for the effective management and leadership of a team. This includes, but is not limited to: hiring, training, coaching, evaluating and managing performance, allocating compensation, effectively handling employee relations issues, managing terminations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

    Experience and Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 10 years direct experience required
    • Bachelor's degree preferred.
    • A minimum of five years of progressive leadership and managerial experience at a large or multi-facility organization (preferably in skilled nursing) required

      Knowledge and skills:

      • Extensive knowledge of operational revenue cycle management with PointClickCare experience preferred.
      • Ability to demonstrate strong strategic thinking, collaboration, leadership, problem solving and communication skills with all levels of the organization required
      • Strong reimbursement knowledge and understanding of SNF regulations, best practices, and quality improvement processes required
      • Knowledge of state and federal regulations required
      • Strong organizational and communication skills required
      • Excellent attention to detail required
      • Ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure with excellent customer service skills required
      • Excellent organizational and project management skills required

        Estimated Salary Range: $135,000 - $150,000

        The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and other relevant factors.
