LDX is currently in search of the following talent to join our dynamic team as a Product Engineer.
Position Description:
The LDX Solutions Product Engineer is responsible for process application and detailed engineering of our core products. Our Product Engineers are expected to be familiar with all LDX APC products, however this position will focus primarily on Wet ESPs and Wet Scrubber systems. A deep understanding of how our products achieve our customer expectations is critical. The Product Engineer's role ranges from supporting the applications team with spec reviews for product compliance and product sizing, through the overseeing of project engineering during project execution to ensure the product's mechanical, instrumentation, electrical and software components comply with LDX Solutions Design Guidelines. The product engineer will also travel to customer locations for commissioning assistance and troubleshooting of technical problems as required.
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure proper technical design for the APC product line in accordance with our Design Guidelines and Contract Specifications with focus on Wet Electrostatic Precipitators and Wet Systems.
  • Work with Product Managers to make sure Design Guidelines are properly maintained and updated as required.
  • Support Sales and Applications engineering as requested to provide technical support, specification reviews to determine product compliance, and sizing information with bill of material for incorporation into proposals.
  • Prepare Piping and Instrumentation drawings and Process Flow diagrams for LDX Projects.
  • Work with Design department to ensure that GA and Fabrication drawings are done in accordance with our standards and in compliance with project specification.
  • Provide drawing checking and approval prior to release for fabrication.
  • Prepare technical specifications for purchases that are part of the product supply.
  • Assist in development of Functional descriptions and Operation and Maintenance manuals for projects.
  • Provide technical support to Project Managers and Project Engineers as required for the timely completion of project requirements.
  • Author technical literature, manuals, tech specs, white papers
  • Provide Wet ESP related technical assistance needed to assure success; this includes assistance in product commissioning, troubleshooting during the project startup, System evaluations for retrofit and upgrade opportunities, and inspection assistance for Aftermarket projects.
  • Ensure confidentiality of all new product information for organization
  • Special projects as required.
Qualifications
  • 5 years of product Engineering experience, preferably with Wet ESPs.
  • MS/BS degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
  • In depth understanding of mass & energy balances, thermodynamics.
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in design, development and/or engineering.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively with cross functional teams.
  • Self-Starter who can manage multiple tasks simultaneously, work with various teams in the organization, and meet project deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
