POSITION Associate, Retail Merchandise Allocator 

REPORTS TO Manager, Retail & DTC Inventory

WHO YOU ARE As the Retail Merchandise Allocator Associate, you will be responsible for the allocation process of merchandise for all Le Creuset retail channels across the US. You will partner with several departments including merchandising, planning, operations, store leadership, and finance to support the execution of Le Creuset's growth strategy. Through ongoing analysis, the retail merchandise allocator consistently works to maximize sales and increase sell-through for Le Creuset.com, Signature stores, Outlet stores, and Factory to Table events. With continually changing promotions and frequent new product launches, you will be continually working with all team members to ensure the product is where it needs to be when it needs to be there.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY

Drive and manage the store allocation and replenishment process while working to meet company objectives.

  • Replenish sales by skew on a weekly basis to ensure adequate inventory is allocated to stores to support visual standards, achieve promo goals, and overall sales budgets.
  • Manage systematic timing and execution of inventory reductions to help achieve sell-through goals.
  • Identify potential inventory liabilities and take appropriate action to help reduce inventory.
  • Manage min/max of replenishment program for stores to continually drive sales and lessen out of stock scenarios.
  • Manage and track allocation for all new product launches ensuring on-time delivery of product to meet launch dates.
  • Review visual floor set to ensure appropriate inventory in-stock requirements.
  • Proactively work with the Planning and Merchandising teams to suggest actions for markdowns, order cancelations, or revised allocation strategies to maximize sell-through on products and programs.
  • Actively participate in the preparation and execution of the Factory to Table events including supporting product allocation.
  • Work closely with DTC and Inventory Manager, as well as the Demand/Supply Planning teams to support cross functional communication about inventory needs and observed sales trends of stores.
  • Partner with warehouse team members to monitor the timely processing and shipment of store transfer orders.

Perform sales and inventory deep dive analysis to help develop actionable plans that drive sales and reduce inventory liability.

  • Update and analyze weekly reporting and tracking sheets to proactively support DTC and Inventory Manager.
  • Perform historical business reviews, including sales, gross margin, price, markdowns, turn, etc.
  • Continually monitor store inventory levels to ensure established KPIs are being met. Propose and influence additional KPIs that can be used to better monitor the business. Develop recommendations for merchandising based on historical analysis.
  • Review and influence departmental financial merchandise plans in conjunction with Merchandising/Finance.
  • Develop seasonal and monthly replenishment and inventory plans.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • 1 years of prior retail planning or store allocation experience required
  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline preferred or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated strong business analytical skills to achieve sales, gross margin, and inventory turn goals
  • Ability to work within a rapidly changing environment with attention to detail
  • Self-starter attitude with a desire to develop and improve processes
  • Excellent oral and written communication, organizational, and demonstrated problem-solving skills
  • Aptitude to function within deadlines while working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to travel to Factory to Table events 3-4 times a year
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 25 lbs

EXTRA EXTRAS

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365 or other store allocation software
  • Experience with Power BI or other Data Warehouses
