Le Jardin Academy is a 501(c)(3) Hawai’i nonprofit organization and the state's only Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12 International Baccalaureate (IB) World Continuum School. The school's mission is to cultivate a community of learners who embrace hana pono to positively impact the world. Role Description
The Annual Giving Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, management, and
refinement of programs that engage and encourage the participation of parents, grandparents,
faculty, staff, alumni, students and friends in annual giving and activities at LJA. This person
manages project planning, execution, and evaluation of targeted fundraising appeals and engages
directly with current and prospective LJA Fund donors across key constituencies to solicit gifts and
increase annual giving and engagement. The Annual Giving Manager is responsible for donor
relations and stewardship activities related to annual giving and engagement and also coordinates
alumni engagement programs and events that serve to engage and connect alumni. This position
reports directly to the Director of Development and functions as part of the Advancement Team.
Minimum Qualifications
3 - 5 years of related professional experience, preferably, but not limited to, work in
development at an independent school or in higher education;
● Bachelor’s degree;
● Experience with nonprofit fundraising and/ or comparable experience to demonstrate
relationship building skills and the ability to secure charitable gifts
● Understanding of and commitment to the role of philanthropy in independent schools.
● Proficiency in Google Tools and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity navigating web-based
platforms (Almabase, QGiv, Thankview, Finalsite, etc.)
● Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as excellent telephone and
customer service skills;
● Demonstrated ability to pay close attention to detail, to efficiently manage several work
assignments and tasks simultaneously, and to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
● Positive attitude, relationship-building skills, a high-level of self-motivation, and a
strong, responsible work ethic;
● Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, to think ahead and be a
problem-solver;
● Willingness to travel and work occasional evenings as necessary.
