S/he is responsible for upholding the Code of Ethical Conduct and for promoting positive working relationships within the company, among all departments, and all external stakeholders. The People Support Specialist plays a crucial role in fostering a positive and productive work environment by providing exceptional support to our teammates. S/he is responsible for addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and facilitating communication between teammates and various departments. S/he possesses excellent interpersonal skills, a strong understanding of HR policies and procedures, the ability to prioritize tasks and manage projects, a vast knowledge of employment compliance requirements and a commitment to promoting a healthy and inclusive workplace culture. Position Specific Responsibilities Serves as the first point of contact for teammates seeking assistance via ticketing portal with HR-related inquiries, policies, and procedures. Utilizes excellent customer service to provide guidance on various HR matters, including benefits, payroll, leave policies, survey readiness, compliance etc. Serves as the subject matter expert for pre-employment background reports in all states. Monitors, reviews and adjudicates state-specific background results for candidates, volunteers, and contractors to ensure that all standards are met per the job description. Facilitates the adverse action process and initiates background escalations as needed. Serves as the main point of contact for hiring managers and recruiters with candidate clearance inquiries. Processes candidate, volunteer, and contractor hires in Workday. Resolves I-9 discrepancies through E-Verify. Maintains and monitors the license management database for the status of professional licenses and upcoming expirations. Processes monthly batches of annual motor vehicle registries Monitors monthly clinical disciplinary actions for appropriate boards. Maintains a current list of date-tracked licenses within the license management database. Completes monthly and annual licensure audits. Audits hires, renewable licenses, motor vehicle registrations (MVRs), background checks, I-9 compliance, and shared teammates background checks. Serves as the liaison between HR Compliance and HRIS to implement process improvements. Processes facility requests as received and provides support to programs under survey. Provides credentialing support for new facility license requests and renewals. Performs other duties as assigned. Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Previous experience in HR, employee relations, or a related field is preferred. Strong knowledge of HR policies, employment laws, and best practices preferred. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion required. Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office applications preferred. Must be detail-oriented and organized, with strong problem-solving skills. Skills Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage. Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from leaders, team members, investors, and external parties. Strong written and verbal communications. Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English. Articulates and embraces integrated healthcare at home philosophy. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must be detail-oriented and organized, with strong problem-solving skills. Must be an empathetic and approachable team player with a positive attitude. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Highly motivated and solution-focused with a strong commitment to maintaining a respectful and inclusive workplace. Physical Demands and Work Environment: The demands of this role necessitate a team member to effectively perform essential functions. Adaptations can be made to accommodate team members with disabilities. Regular standing, walking, and manual dexterity are fundamental, along with the ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds. Visual acuity requirements include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
