Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and responsible Tanker Driver with a valid HAZMAT license to join our team. As a Tanker Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of various types of liquid and hazardous materials to our clients. Your main duty will be to transport goods from one location to another, following all traffic and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain company-owned tanker truck in a safe and efficient manner
• Load and unload liquid and hazardous materials using appropriate equipment
• Plan and follow the most efficient route to ensure timely delivery of goods
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the tanker truck and report any issues or defects
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including the proper handling and storage of hazardous materials
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance
• Communicate with dispatch and customers to provide updates on delivery status
• Handle necessary paperwork and documentation for each delivery
• Keep the tanker truck clean and well-maintained at all times
Qualifications:
• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with HAZMAT endorsement
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a tanker truck driver
• Clean driving record with no major violations
• Knowledge of federal and state transportation regulations
• Ability to operate and maintain a tanker truck in a safe and efficient manner
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
• Physically fit and able to handle the demands of loading and unloading hazardous materials
• High school diploma or equivalent
Working Conditions:
• This is a full-time position with a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• The job requires the driver to spend long hours on the road and may involve overnight trips.
• The driver will be exposed to various weather conditions and may have to work in physically demanding environments.
• The job may also require the driver to handle potentially dangerous materials, following all safety protocols and wearing necessary protective gear.
