Leaders Staffing's Direct Hire Division is seeking skilled QC Assistant Manager for our Manufacturing client located near Decatur, IN.

The ideal candidate would be strong in Quality Manufacturing concepts, be safety minded, have knowledge of IATF/ISO standards and experience in assembly and machining manufacturing environments.

EXPECTATIONS

Support Quality Control with effective front line management of the departments operations and workforce. Work to effectively countermeasure all in house and supplier related quality issues. Comply with all company safety, quality and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Confirm complete and accurate associate training (8-day OJT, Initial Evaluation, Annual Evaluations, Performance Reviews)
• Confirm adequate work standards are in place. (No gaps, Identify needs for new work standards and updates to current work standards)
• Confirm the assignment of duties, for all in house quality and supplier quality associates, that involve in house quality and supplier quality related task/issues. (In House MNCRs, Quality/System/Process audits, Continuous improvement, Supplier MNCRs, Supplier PPAPs, Supplier SCs)
• Confirm the tracking of all assignments, for all in house quality and supplier quality associates, to ensure timely completion of all in house quality and supplier quality tasks/issues. (In House MNCRs, Quality/System/Process audits, Continuous improvement, Supplier MNCRs, Supplier PPAPs, Supplier SCs)
• Confirm all in house quality and supplier task/issues for accuracy. (In House MNCRs, Quality/System/Process audits, Continuous improvement, PFMEAs, Control Plans, Supplier MNCRs, Supplier PPAPs, Supplier SCs)
• Review reports for all in house quality and supplier quality issues that affect FCC manufacturing/assembly line or the customer
• Responsible for in house quality associates disciplinary actions
• Develop, implement, and confirm in house quality/efficiency improvement/action plans throughout the facility, department, and supplier’s facilities
• Work with management, production, and associates to effectively and efficiently countermeasure all in house, supplier, or customer related quality issues (Including supplier visits/audits)
• Follow written and verbal direction to perform accurate and efficient quality control procedures.
• Comply with departmental continuous improvement activities
• Promote and ensure conformance to the companies IATF 16949 procedures (Work Standards, Regulations, Quality Manual)
• Promote and ensure conformance to the companies ISO14001 procedures (Recycling, Reducing Waste)
• Promote and ensure a safe, clean, and harassment free working environment. Lead and improve department 5C activities
• Effectively communicate with management, associates, and customer

Preferred Qualifications and Education Requirements

• 2 year degree in Industrial Technology/related field or equivalent work experience Preferred Skills/Experience

• Computer knowledge
• Basic lab tools and hand gauges

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
