Location: Wichita, KS, 67213
We are seeking a skilled Bandsaw Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a bandsaw in a manufacturing or production environment.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate bandsaw machines to cut metal or other materials according to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders to determine machine setup, cutting sequence, and dimensions
- Adjust machine settings to ensure accuracy and quality of cuts
- Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet specifications
- Maintain and clean machines and work area
- Perform routine maintenance on machines
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience operating bandsaw machines in a manufacturing or production environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders
- Knowledge of machine maintenance and repair
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Good communication and teamwork skills
