Senior Manager of Learning & Development

At ELM we firmly believe that fostering a culture of continuous learning and development is key to achieving ELM's mission and purpose. That is why we are actively seeking a dynamic Senior Manager of Learning & Development who can build impactful learning & development and solutions for a diverse group of employees at our rapidly growing company.

The Senior Manager of Learning & Development is responsible for supporting the enterprise-wide strategy to drive a high performance and leadership culture. The Senior Manager will lead, design, and implement high-impact, sustainable learning, talent and development programs. The role will partner closely with key leaders as well as our People Team to identify needs, gaps, and business strategy to best develop learning campaigns and integrate change leadership tools and programs into company initiatives.

In the first year there will be a key focus on revising our New Hire Onboarding, Sales Training, Leadership Development, launching our Learning Management System and supporting overall company communication.

Job Summary:

Enables a People First business strategy by developing and facilitating effective delivery of learning & development programs for the organization. Works collaboratively across business units and with HR Partners to ensure that employees onboard effectively and continue to grow and develop throughout their tenure.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with ELM’s overall goals and objectives.
  • Identify key priorities, initiatives, and long-term plans to drive the learning and development function forward.
  • Partners with Senior Leadership and HR to define changing learning opportunities and monitor quality and alignment of programs to improve participant performance outcomes. Ensures that both long-term planning and short-term delivery are accomplished.
  • Build systems to confirm the effectiveness and impact of learning initiatives.

Program Design & Implementation

  • Partners to develop learning & development programs and review current development programs to ensure adherence to company goals.
  • Partners to develop training programs that help with company culture, pride in our company and products and that helps to reduce turnover.
  • Partner with leadership to develop a learning culture across the organization that cultivates an engaged workforce.
  • Deploys an effective Learning and Development and more broadly communications strategy ensuring awareness and access around key offerings.

Learning Trends, Technology & Evaluation:

  • Create a learning & development scorecard using data to track results; identify areas of improvement through needs analysis, benchmarking and best practice reviews.
  • Identifies learning & development requirements by conducting needs analysis on technology and organization results, performance gaps, job requirements, operational problems, company plans and forecasts, and current training programs.
  • Uses learning technology to support company training needs.
  • Develops methods and tools to measure development and training initiative impact and effectiveness across the organization, including performance and retention.
  • Researches and engages outside sources for training as necessary. Provides planning and direct support for large company events. Maintains current industry information, including new thinking and approaches.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related discipline - Required
  • Master's Degree – Preferred
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles
  • 5-7 years of experience in the Learning & Development arena
  • History of creating and rolling out impactful learning programs
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to create digital and in person training programs.
  • Must be able to fluently work with a wide variety of work styles and all levels of employee – from entry level to C-suite.
  • Ability to influence and work in a collaborative work environment that is focused on results.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and collaboratively; self-motivated and ability to organize in order to meet deadlines or competing priorities/projects.
  • Ability to design and facilitate training in both English and Spanish - Preferred
