Customer Service Representative Job DescriptionCustomer Service Representatives answer incoming calls regarding Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA) participants. You will take calls of varying complexity answering questions ranging from accessing the website to their account, transfers, account changes, contributions, withdrawals, rollovers and benefits. You will also assist in processing retirement related transactions. As needed you will submit requests for research and follow-up after the initial call. Schedule adherence and punctuality are crucial.
This role is located in person in Austin, TX.
Roles/Duties
- Answer incoming telephone inquiries including, but not limited to, requests for general account information, concerns related to contributions and withdrawals, how to make changes to an account and product information. Process financial transactions upon request of callers. Complexity and scope of questions based on level.
- Assist participants through the navigation of the Web Site when executing financial transactions and/or initiating distributions. Complexity and scope of questions based on level.
- Submits requests for research and follow-up if needed after the initial call. May be required to make outbound calls if necessary. Expectation determined by level.
- Respond to managerial feedback, and attend meetings and training sessions.
- Consistent adherence to work schedule and punctuality required.
- Assist operations with back office functions
- Actively participate in company initiatives
- Be an active member of project teams
- Ability to participate as a member of a team, assisting in other projects as needed or as assigned
- Previous customer Service experience preferred
- Advanced knowledge of financial services, specifically of the mutual fund or retirement industry
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented
- Able to work well in a team environment and independently
- Experience with Microsoft suite products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously within deadlines and a high degree of accuracy
- Bachelor’s degree (all majors encouraged to apply) or 3 years industry-related experience
- Spanish Speaking a positive
