Description
A small independent liquor store in North Grand Prairie is looking for an outgoing store clerk with liquor store experience.

We are looking for someone dependable that is fun and outgoing that will do a great job with pride. This is a smaller store with two register positions. We have a full liquor inventory, great wine selection, and a beer cave.

Job Summary:
Become a team member of a small retail store, ensuring maximum sales and profitability through merchandise, inventory, expense control, and great customer service.

Job Duties:
1. Ensure that each customer receives outstanding Customer Service by providing a customer friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of customer service.
2. Assist in the development and implementation of operational and marketing plans to maximize sales and meet or exceed goals and objectives.
3. Assist in the control of inventory, expenses, and customer interaction
4. Ensure appropriate merchandise stock levels, merchandise displays; ensure selling floor is adequately stocked.
5. Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures through regular store walk-through and audits, etc.
6. Assistance and interaction with all event level sales and charity projects
7. Ensure proper facility maintenance.
8. Any other responsibilities as assigned by the owners or manager.

Qualifications and Requirements

Job Requirements:
1. Ability to process information and merchandise through computer system and POS register system.
2. Ability to communicate with associates and guests.
3. Ability to read, count and write to accurately complete all documentation.
4. Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the store.
5. Ability to move or handle merchandise throughout the store generally weighing up to 50 pounds.
6. Willingness to work a flexible schedule composed mainly of evenings, weekends and holidays. (We are closed Sunday and Monday)
7. Be able to pass a criminal background check
8. Must be at least 21 years old

Job Qualifications:
1. Willingness to take direction and grow.
2. High School Diploma or equivalent.
3. Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
4. Previous liquor store experience. Please note: Previous liquor store experience does not mean purchasing liquor in a liquor store. Previous experience in a convenience store is also not liquor store experience. Being a server in a restaurant and serving alcohol is not liquor store experience. If you have not actually worked in a liquor store, and that experience shows on your resume, you do not have liquor store experience.
5. Willingness to work with off site promotional company for charity events

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
