Position: Data Science Instructor

Responsibilities:

Instructors report directly to the President and the program’s Lead Instructor. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Lead virtual or in-person classrooms through the use of Zoom, Slack, Github, and our proprietary LMS
• Research, prepare, and deliver lesson topics in a way that is both engaging and effective
• Create, edit, and improve instructional materials
• Facilitate evaluations and assessments of projects and individual student progress
• Work 1-on-1 with students as needed during and after the program

Qualifications:

High quality applicants will have some or all of the following:

• At least 2 years of professional experience in a field related to data science, data analytics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, etc
• Strong understanding of Python, SQL, Regression, Classification, Tableau and other data science fundamentals
• Experience with Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Deep Learning
• Some experience with teaching, mentoring, coaching, or managing adults
• Willingness to organize and instruct classes 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, both in technical and non-technical contexts
• Ability to develop industry-relevant curriculum 
• Comfort working both independently and in a team environment

Metrics of Success:

Performance in this role will be measured by:

• Performance of and feedback from students
• Direct classroom observation by Lead Instructors, Managers, or Directors
• Success of students in beginning their technical career
