Position Title: EARLY CHILDHOOD RESOURCE COORDINATOR Location: Robert and Adele Schiff I - Cincinnati, OH Level: Experienced Position Type: Full Time Education Level: 4 Year Degree Salary Range: $20.00 - $22.00 Hourly Job Shift: Any Job Category: Nonprofit - Social Services Description Definition and Primary Objective The Early Childhood Resource Coordinator (ECRC) will work with the Community Learning Center (CLC) Resource Coordinator at Oyler School , to initiate, facilitate and maintain programs and services to ensure that all future students, age's birth -5 years that live in the Lower Price Hill community, have access to high quality early learning opportunities and are developmentally on track. Primary Responsibilities
Immerse oneself in the school and community through networking and community outreach in a variety of roles.
Plan and implement marketing and recruitment engagements to identify and meet families with children under the age of 5.
Build relationships and partnerships within the school and community.
Plan and implement family engagement activities that meet the needs and interest of families that live in the community, with children from 0- 5 years.
Build trusting relationships with families from various backgrounds and cultures.
Connect families and children to Oyler Community Learning Center, a resource and education hub for the community.
Connect families with children, 0-5 years, to high quality early childhood opportunities such as Robert and Adele Schiff Center and Oyler Preschool.
Connect families to a variety of resources that meet the individual family needs.
Stay informed and up to date on resources available within the community.
Participate in school and community events.
Work closely with the Early Childhood team, within the school and community, to design and implement kindergarten transition activities.
Support families in ensuring children are up to date on medical, dental, and vision exams.
Attend all community council meetings.
Attend all partner school events.
Qualification Minimum Education, Experience and Other Skill Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in social services, education, or community planning is required.
The applicant must be a self-starter, flexible, collaborative and a convergent thinker.
The applicant must demonstrate leadership skills and professionalism while interacting with various groups of people.
Previous experience with family and community outreach and engagement preferred.
The applicant must have a flexible schedule that includes working some evening and weekend hours.
