At Learning Outside the Lines, we're forging an inclusive path forward for individuals (i.e., adolescents and adults) with developmental disabilities in Maryland. We're looking for a dynamic Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to be a cornerstone of our mission. We are seeking BCBAs interested in a part-time or full-time position. In this position, you'll benefit from the mentorship of our CEO, with over 20 years of experience in the field, and utilize your expertise in ABA to offer training and support, both in-person and remotely, to clients, caregivers, and professionals. You'll be instrumental in empowering those receiving Behavioral Support Services (BSS) through the Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA). Qualifications

  • At least 1-year experience with ABA principles, focusing on promoting safe behavior and enhancing adaptive skills.
  • Exceptional communication abilities with collaboration skills.
  • Ability to mentor RBTs/Behavior Support Specialists.
  • Proficient in behavior analytic principles and training strategies.
  • Familiarity with Behavioral Skills Training and experience handling severe challenging behaviors.
  • Active BCBA certification and a Maryland Behavior Analysis license. Both should be in good standing.
  • Stay updated with behavioral analytic literature and maintain professional certification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessment & Strategy: Conduct FBAs and develop effective BIPs. Offer training in data collection and positive behavior support techniques.
  • Behavioral Support: Consistently guide DSPs and caregivers, ensuring the successful implementation of BIPs. Build strong relationships with all stakeholders, including families and community partners.
  • Professional Development: Lead initiatives based on current ABA research and best practices. Create and identify essential training materials.
  • Data Analysis: Use Hi Rasmus, our digital platform, for continuous monitoring and decision-making based on data-driven insights.
  • Utilization: Ensure a minimum of 80% of available hours are utilized for each assigned participant unless a lower utilization percentage has been authorized by the CEO.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all relevant COMAR titles and regulations as well as DDA policies and procedures, while maintaining strict HIPAA compliance at all times.
  • Engagement: Attend essential meetings to align our services with individual aspirations.

Additional Job Requirements

  • Must be willing to travel up to 30 miles to and from participants’ locations and have access to reliable transportation.
  • Complete training to use Hi Rasmus, a digital data collection platform.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ensure the confidential handling and documentation of records.
  • Efficiently produce timely correspondence, including session notes and timesheets, in line with company standards.
  • Possess the versatility to operate autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
  • Uphold the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, ethics, and discretion.
  • Have a strong internet connection.
  • Access to a personal computer that can be used for work.

Schedule and Pay

We have openings for part-time or full-time roles with variable hours, depending on your availability and client needs. Afternoon/evening hours might be necessary, as consultants must coordinate schedules with families, caregivers, DSPs, and BSS Associates/RBTs. The hourly pay range for part-time positions is between $85 to $120 per hour. Full-time positions start at $95,000 per year with the opportunity to earn quarterly bonuses. We also offer health benefits, personal days, and paid holidays. The specific rate/salary is determined based on the depth and breadth of the BCBA’s experience. Two additional milestone payments of $850 or more (a minimum total of $1,700) are provided for each Behavioral Assessment and Behavior Plan completed per client.
