Learning Together is a highly regarded preschool program serving children with and without special needs in an integrated setting. Preschool Children are taught by an early childhood Special Education Teacher with a team of 2 Teaching Assistants and are supported by a full staff of professionals. Learning Togethers staff include Speech Pathologists, OTRs, COTAs, PTs, PTAs, School Psychologists, Social Workers, School Nurses, an Instructional Leader, a Music Therapist and a BCBA.
Learning Together, in Montgomery NY, is currently seeking a Full Time Administrative assistant to the Director. The position is open for Immediate Employment. We invite you to join our team of dedicated, dynamic, and experienced professionals in a child and family friendly play based preschool environment.
We are looking for a responsible Administrative Assistant to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. Duties of the Administrative Assistant include providing support to our parents and employees, assisting in daily office needs and managing our company’s general administrative activities. Administrative Assistant responsibilities include preparing reports and maintaining appropriate filing systems. The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to organize their work using tools, like MS Excel, Word, & Outlook Calendar. If you have previous experience as an Executive administrative assistant and familiarity within our industry, we’d like to meet you.
Responsibilities
- Right Hand to the Director
- Organize and schedule appointments
- Plan meetings and take detailed minutes
- Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
- Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
- Develop and maintain an accurate filing system
- Update and maintain office policies and procedures
- Maintain contact lists
- Provide general support to visitors
- Schedule Evaluations
Requirements
- Proven experience as an administrative assistant
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
- Working knowledge of office equipment, like copiers and fax machines
- Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel, Word and Outlook Calendar, in particular)
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Experience in a school / special education environment as an Administrative Assistant
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
