Ledgent Technology is Hiring a BI Developer Near Denver, CO

Job Title: BI Developer

Type: Long Term Contract to Hire

Location: Downtown Denver, CO (parking provided)

Work Schedule: Onsite 5 days per week

Industry: Oil & Gas

Pay Rate: Open (depending on experience)

Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated BI Developer to join our Enterprise Applications team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the Microsoft SQL stack, experience with ETL processes, and a proven ability to develop insightful reports and dashboards. This role will be instrumental in enhancing our data-driven decision-making capabilities.

Responsibilities:

· Develop and maintain complex SQL queries for data integration and reporting purposes.

· Design and implement data models to support business requirements and ensure data integrity.

· Develop and optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using SSIS.

· Integrate data from various sources, including web APIs (REST and SOAP).

· Develop and maintain scripts in Python and C# to automate tasks and enhance data processing.

· Collaborate with the EDW architect to ensure alignment with the overall data warehouse strategy.

· Work effectively in both waterfall and agile project methodologies.

· Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner.

· Stay up-to-date with the latest BI technologies and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

· Mid-level experience with the Microsoft SQL stack (T-SQL, stored procedures, SSIS, SSRS).

· Experience with data warehousing environments and principles.

· Proficiency in ETL development using SSIS.

· Experience with developing reports and dashboards using Spotfire (preferred) or similar BI tools (PowerBI, Tableau).

· Strong scripting skills in Python and C#.

· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience with Spotfire development.

· Familiarity with web API integration (REST and SOAP).

· Experience with data modeling tools.

· Knowledge of data visualization best practices.
