Hillsboro, OR (Mostly Remote- 6 days a month onsite required)

Ledgent Technology has once again partnered with a key client of ours for their open IT Security Analyst role! The position is mostly remote but does require 6 days onsite a month.

Overview: We are looking for a skilled IT Security Analyst to join our client's team. The primary focus of this role is to monitor and detect organizational risks, identify attack sources, and preserve electronic evidence. The ideal candidate will develop, implement, and maintain systems and processes to safeguard business and client information.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and detect risks, identify attack methods, and preserve electronic evidence.
  • Analyze, recommend, develop, and implement security systems and processes.
  • Perform risk assessments and security analyses.
  • Develop and execute remediation plans.
  • Support security programs and work as part of the security response team.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for security systems.
  • Participate in information security projects.
  • Assist in the implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of the information security program.
  • Deploy and configure new and enhanced security solutions.
  • Secure and support cloud-based infrastructures (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud).
  • Identify and address security vulnerabilities in networks and systems.
  • Maintain internal procedures for data security, including incident response handling.
  • Evaluate and improve the internal security framework and compliance.
  • Stay updated on emerging security threats and assist in mitigating them.
  • Collect evidence deliverables and maintain schedules.
  • Suggest enhancements for internal controls such as segregation of duties, change management, and incident handling.

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in IT security or equivalent education and experience.
  • Preferably holding or working towards CISSP, CISA, or SANS GIAC certification.
  • Understanding of application, network, and operating system security concepts.
  • Knowledge of security monitoring tools (e.g., UTM, IPS, IDS, CASB, PAM).
  • Familiarity with WAN, MPLS, and VoIP technologies.
  • Working knowledge of IT management frameworks (ISO/IEC 27001, ITIL, COBIT, NIST).
  • Willingness to work outside normal business hours as needed.
  • Excellent written communication skills for preparing formal reports.
