Are you meticulous with numbers and passionate about keeping things organized? We're seeking a Payroll Specialist / Bookkeeper to join our team in American Canyon! While construction experience is preferred, it's not mandatory. If you're detail-oriented, dependable, and ready to dive into the world of bookkeeping, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Inhouse payroll - need to know payroll taxes
- Reconciling credit card transactions
- Assisting with HR paperwork and clerical tasks
- Conducting basic HR functions
- Managing internal payroll, including prevailing wage calculations
Top Qualities We're Looking For:
- Trustworthiness and reliability are non-negotiable
- Accurate and detail-oriented approach to work
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Proficiency in Spanish is a plus
- Experience with Sage 100 or similar accounting software
- Experience handling in house payroll
- Basic knowledge of Excel
Compensation:
- $26-$28/hour for candidates without construction experience
- $30-$34/hour for candidates with construction experience
