Automotive Service Department Training Manager

Lee Auto Malls, Maine's No. 1 Volume dealership and a leading automotive service provider, seeks a dynamic Service Department Training Manager to join our team. This position demands a versatile individual with a deep understanding of and first-hand experience in automotive service operations. This position can be based in our Auburn, Topsham, or Westbrook dealership.

As the Service Department Training Manager, you will train to Lee's standards for customer experience, customer retention, and general effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Train Service Advisors on multi-point inspection review, effective sales presentations, and closing service sales
• Conduct periodic process audits and create action plans
• Develop training materials, including presentations and interactive exercises
• Deliver training and coaching sessions in various settings, including hands-on in the service lane, classroom, and virtual
• Analyze comprehensive reports to identify process deficiencies to help inform where additional training or coaching is needed
• Collaborate with Executive Leadership to identify training needs and develop targeted solutions
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through participant feedback and performance metrics, making adjustments as needed to improve outcomes
• Maintain accurate records of training attendance, completion, and outcomes
• Stay current on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in automotive service and sales training

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive service with a minimum of 3 years of Service Advisor experience
• Strong knowledge of automotive service and sales processes and best practices
• Ability to identify opportunities for growth and improvement while creating value and buy-in from team members, including service professionals
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Willingness and ability to travel to all Lee Auto Malls' locations statewide; mileage paid
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
