POSITION SUMMARY

TheAssistant Channel Marketing Managerwill be responsible for planning, directing and coordinating the marketing of the company’s products and services to meet the company’s objectives in the US Asian Channel (retail, foodservice and industrial).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Assists Senior Channel Marketing Manager to develop and execute marketing plans and programs (including trade programs), both short and long range, to ensure the profit growth and expansion of company products.
  • Coordinates marketing campaigns, analyze market trends, and assist in the development of marketing strategies. Implement strategies to boost sales, enhance brand awareness and drive engagement and loyalty within consumer and chef communities.
  • Collaborates with agencies/vendors to manage social media, create content, conduct community outreach, organize events, secure sponsorship, execute advertising campaigns, and manage PR activities.
  • Performs project brief drafting, coordination, execution, monitoring process, result sharing, and report compiling.
  • Conducts/assists product taste testing and comparative analysis with competitor products.
  • Maintains website content, including recipes, videos, POP materials uploading, and listing management.
  • Collaborates with chefs on recipe development and new menu ideation.
  • Handles all inquiry submission to technical services.
  • Handles the labels/artwork on the packaging development.
  • Fills out all the customer registration forms and follows up with vendors.
  • Coordinates various marketing fulfillment duties and systems, including direct mail, packages, letters, catalogs, POP, merchandise, and sales literature.
  • Leads and manages the typing, editing, translation, and proofreading of newsletter, advertisements, catalog, recipe, and other marketing materials.
  • Conducts program list compilation and update (for example FSV sample program request) and retail store activities tracking.
  • Brings new products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs.
  • Introduces and markets new products by developing time-integrated plans working with sales, advertising, and POP material production.
  • Prepares new product launch plan and timeline. Also presents the summary to internal and external parties.
  • Manages and implements marketing and trade marketing activities of the product launch and promotion with sales team.
  • Leads and manages individual projects to achieve objectives within specified timelines and budgets.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS and EXPERIENCES
  • This position requires a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, communications or a related field from an accredited university; and a minimum of 5 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Candidate must possess working knowledge of Microsoft, Excel (including VLOOKUP, and PowerPivot), and PowerPoint. Knowledge and experience in Power BI and SAP Hana is a plus.
  • Must be able to work independently and clearly communicate with cross-functional teams to achieve goals.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team [in a fast-paced environment] with minimal supervision.
  • Strong ability to collaborate effectively with sales teams and external vendors.
  • Experience in food industry/foodservice industry is a plus.
  • Must be detailed-oriented, thorough, and organized.
  • Must have the ability to define problems, analyze data, apply concrete sales principles through data gathering and analysis, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • LANGUAGE SKILLS
  • The individual must possess excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English.
  • Bilingual skill in both written and verbal English and Chinese is required.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as probabilities and statistical inference to forecast annual sales and budget.
  • Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Must be able to interpret an extensive variety of technical sales instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with a verity of abstract and concrete variables.
