The Opportunity
We are seeking a data-driven and analytical Commercial Analyst with experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry to join our dynamic Business Development team. You will play a key role in driving profitable growth by providing strategic insights and supporting commercial initiatives focused on CPG products. Responsibilities:
- Optimize Channel Strategy & Performance: Analyze channel data specific to CPG products and recommend innovative commercial strategies to maximize profitability across all territories.
- Manage Advertising & Promotion Budget: Oversee the A&P budget process for CPG products, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and tracking against ROI targets.
- Drive Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze and communicate business performance reports related to CPG products, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Support Commercial Projects: Collaborate with internal departments to develop and execute key business projects focused on CPG products.
- Commercial-Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the Business Development Director.
Key Tasks:
- Process A&P invoices, manage payments, and maintain accurate invoice status reports for CPG products.
- Track and analyze trade marketing & commercial activities for CPG products, ensuring alignment with plans and budgets.
- Generate insightful reports on depletions, innovations, channel performance, and key accounts, with a focus on CPG products.
- Gather and analyze competitive market intelligence specific to CPG products to develop informed recommendations.
- Support the BI Manager with price surveys and data collection for CPG products.
- Assist with ad hoc requests from the Business Development Director related to CPG products.
- Assist in preparing presentations for market and customer visits focused on CPG products.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required, with 3 years of experience in sales/business support, preferably in the CPG industry.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a passion for data-driven decision making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with experience in data analysis tools (OBI a plus).
- Experience with E1 general business platform/database is a plus.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is preferred.
- Less than 10% travel expected.
