Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team for a Temporary 2-6 month project role.The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the purchasing process, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services, specifically in Printing.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that are innovative, cost-effective, and meet quality standards
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and evaluate their capabilities
- Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure advantageous terms
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine procurement needs and specifications
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with contracts and service level agreements
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in regulations
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, including production planning, materials management, logistics, and supply chain management
- Proficiency in contract negotiation and understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
- Experience in category management and procurement management
- Ability to analyze market trends and pricing to make informed purchasing decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with vendors and internal teams
