Left on Friday is Hiring a NYC Seasonal Store Manager Near New York, NY

As the leader of the store, the Store Manager, is accountable for all aspects of the store inclusive of; operations, performance, guest experience and community engagement. The Store Manager is responsible for creating an environment that engages and excites their team and community. The role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, strength in operations, product knowledge, a high standard of guest experience and a solution-oriented mindset. Through this role you will support the overall retail objectives of building brand awareness, connecting with guests IRL and guest acquisition.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Store Operations & Performance
- Oversee all aspects of store operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
- Work in partnership with our cross-functional teams to ensure company policies, procedures and standards of operations are in alignment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment.
- Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling and reporting.
- Responsible for inventory management and audits.
- Lead visual merchandising of the store and ensure standards are maintained.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive retail sales revenue and achieve sales targets.
- Test new ideas and report learnings to inform future store planning.

Guest Experience
- Provide a premium guest experience and act as an ambassador of the brand.
- Create a retail & community space where guests want to come back again and again.
- Share your fit and style expertise for try-on sessions and private parties.
- Solve for guest issues and crisis management.

Team Leadership
- Lead and motivate a team to deliver exceptional performance.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team culture.
- Give and receive feedback and share openly as an opportunity to grow.

Community Engagement
- Plan and execute community initiatives, events, and partnerships.
- Partner with the marketing team to leverage community engagement opportunities.
- Identify and recruit passionate individuals from the local community to serve as brand ambassadors.
- Lead and/or support hosting community events for guests to experience the brand IRL within the store and throughout the city and surrounding areas.

Key Skills & Experience:
- At least 2-4 years of experience in retail management and community engagement
- Ability to work a full-time schedule including varied hours/days including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
- Proficient in Google Workplace applications
- Entrepreneurial spirit and takes accountability for owning your business
- Naturally connects with people in a relatable way
- Passionate about building a brand
- A self starter who is eager, agile and resourceful
- Ability to think outside the box and drive results
- Loves being in, on and around water
- Creates a fun and welcoming environment
- Must have reliable transportation.

Location: NYC
Availability: Full time, must be available weekends and holidays
Duration: July to September

Hourly wage: $32-$36 USD

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $32.00 - $36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
