Summary
As a Medicaid Liaison you will be responsible for the oversight and success of the pending Medicaid application process. Evaluation of income and asset levels for potential admissions and residents already admitted. Provide guidance in determining appropriate actions needed to resolve applicant status if ineligible. Ensure effective processes are in place for processing pending Medicaid application, re-certification documentation and tracking the status of open pending Medicaid applications. You will also work closely with residents and/or families to obtain the necessary documentation in order to assess eligibility. As well as, working with county caseworkers to make sure cases are processed in a timely manner.
Job Summary
This position will be responsible for assisting the Business Office Manager. The Medicaid Liaison assists with Claims, Cash Posting, Research, Insurance review, Resident Trust, Customer Service, Collections, Point Click Care as well as other Business Office assistance as needed to assure the financial success of the facility.
Education and Experience
  • Associate’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Social Work preferred OR 2-5 years of Medicaid eligibility processing experience
  • 2- 5 years of Medicaid and/or compliance experience preferred; social services and admissions are a plus
  • Strong subject matter expertise and knowledge of all relevant Medicaid regulations, contractual requirements, industry standards and best practices
  • Skilled Nursing Medicaid billing and eligibility screening preferred
  • Skilled Nursing Medicaid eligibility processing experience preferred
  • Must have experience with Excel and Microsoft Office programs
  • Must possess knowledge of and demonstrated skill with the pertinent billing software
  • Working knowledge of Area on Aging
  • Excellent organizational and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage a fast paced environment.
