We are seeking a dynamic candidates to join our Delta, Ohio location as a Slitter Operator 3rd Shift._ (Must be able to train on 1st Shift)_

The ideal candidate would have experience in working in an ever-changing, fast-moving, and evolving environment. Candidates who have worked within a manufacturing/Tube Mill environment and who have slitting experience are highly preferred.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Slitting Machine Operator’s primary duties include, but are not limited to, operating the “Slitter” (a Slitting Machine) in the most productive and efficient way possible; maintaining the highest level of quality at all times. The Slitting Machine Operator is responsible for directing the helper on the machine as needed ensuring the process is productive, efficient, and with little down time on the production process.

Job Skills and Knowledge:

• Ensure that quality standards are met; champion quality ownership of work center.
• Setup the Slitting “over arms” with specific tooling.
• Check the machine master coil for damage; ensuring the correct coil is being used for processing.
• Inspect material prior, during, and after processing for damage and/or quality.
• Check machine controls/gauges, record data, and verify machine readings are in line with the specifications outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Utilize and read measuring instruments to ensure orders are accurate.
• Perform visual quality inspections.
• Review order paperwork for accuracy.
• Follow all SOPs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Completion of high school diploma or GED
• General mechanical knowledge
• Slitter experience preferred
• Good problem-solving skills
• Self Starter, results driven
• Strong organizational skills are required.
• Ability to lift 50lbs consistently during shift
• Must be able to work in a team orientated environment.
• Must be able to follow instructions, and safety rules.

Job Type: Full-time
