Legacy Transitional Care and Rehab is Hiring a Rehabilitation Director - Full-Time 1st Shift Near Atlanta, GA
Job Summary: Accountable for the day-to-day management of the activities of the Therapy Department to assure proper utilization of available resources and continuous quality improvement. Responsible for the development of the Rehab Department and coordinating the integration with other therapies. Responsibilities: #. Direct the rehabilitation staff in the evaluation and treatment of patients. 2# Develop, motivate, and complete performance evaluations of subordinates to ensure a high degree of quality and efficient use of resources, human and material. Directly responsible for providing an excellent learning atmosphere for staff, including clinical education programs for professional programs to enhance recruitment and retention.
Responsible for the 01ientation of new employees, including policy and procedure as it pertains to the department and relates to the facility
Assist in the establishment of the department's operating and capital budgets or assure adequate resources for professional development and departmental enhancement
Effective and efficient utilization maintaining high standards of quality
Recruitment and retention of high quality pe1'Sonnel consistent with job requirements
Self-initiating with a high emphasis on visibility and availability for staff
Responsible for the department's quality improvement program
Interview, select, promote and counsel departmental pe1'Sonnel in conjunction with the Company Policy and Procedures Manual
Interact with patients and family membe1'S as appropriate. Maintain patient/guest relations consistent with Company policy
Job Requirements:
Credentialed graduate of an accredited physical, occupational or speech therapy program with an associates, master's degree, and licensed in the state where practicing
Three year's minimum clinical experience as a practicing therapist with previous management/supervisory experience required
Ability to lift 50 pounds, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to25 pounds
Less than 10% travel to local area facilities
Ability to work inside with exposure to some disagreeable conditions
Communicate effectively with residents, families, PT, OT, ST, restorative, staff and facility staff in general
Must be capable of executing all terms and conditions set forth in the Employee Handbook including but not limited t.o:
