Legacy Vision Center is Hiring an Optometric Assistant Near Huntsville, AL
We are seeking an Optometric Assistant to become a part of our team! You will help our doctor in clinic and our optician in optical to keep the office running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner (example: prior authorizations)
- Perform routine clinical tasks to support doctor such as pretesting, ordering contact lenses, and charting
- Communicate with other offices for referral purposes
- Escort patients to exam rooms
- Perform back up optical duties such as frame selections and glasses sales, dispensing, and filing
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in healthcare, preferably in an optometry/ophthalmology office
- Familiarity with basic charting
- Works well in a small team
- Personable and able to be comfortable in sales
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
