LEGAL FUSION INC. is Hiring a Litigation Associate Near Sacramento, CA

Our client, an esteemed national law firm, seeks a mid-level to senior litigation associate to join its renowned Environmental & Natural Resources practice group. This is an excellent opportunity to work on sophisticated, complex and cutting edge water rights, land use and energy development matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in the energy, natural resources, real estate and agribusiness industries.
  • Work closely with senior attorneys to develop case strategies.
  • Responsible for all aspects of litigation from inception of cases to their resolution.
  • Draft and argue pleadings/motions in state and federal court.
  • Handle all aspects of discovery.
  • Interface directly with clients.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of four years of litigation experience with (1) environmental, land use and/or natural resources matters, or (2) other litigation experience in administrative proceedings or with regulatory compliance before regional, state or federal agencies.
  • Excellent academics and superior communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Federal or state appellate court clerkship or externship is preferred but not required.
  • JD from accredited law school.
  • Active membership in or commitment to applying for the California State Bar.
