A prestigious, high-end boutique law firm is looking for a Legal Nurse Consultant/Nurse Paralegal to join its team in its Downtown Fort Lauderdale office. This position is in-office, so you must be local to South Florida to be considered.
Nurse Paralegal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collecting and reviewing medical records for drug interactions, preexisting conditions, etc.
- Cross-checking facts and verifying the accuracy and authenticity of the information
- Drafting medical record summaries and chronologies
- Vet and qualify specialty witnesses and experts
- Work directly with attorneys to explain medical conditions and relevance to the case
Nurse Paralegal Requirements and Qualifications
- Previous experience working as a nurse paralegal or LNC full-time in a law firm
- Strong clinical nursing experience - 5 years as an RN (active license a big plus)
- Good job stability
- Ability to read and understand medical coding
