The Role

In this role you will manage a team of lawyers in creating legal guidance content about contracts to power our AI contract review software. You will represent the legal content team in conversations with customers and prospective customers, and you will work closely with our AI, sales, and marketing teams. 

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of experienced lawyers in the creation and updating of legal content – including creating contract review playbooks, model language, practical guidance, and contract templates
• Represent the legal content team in conversations with customers and prospective customers
• Collaborate with our AI team on the continuous improvement of our contract review AI 
• Plan, execute, and ramp up the creation of complex, detail-oriented legal content work and deliver it on schedule
• Improve our product by learning from our customers about their needs, learning from market patterns and data, and thinking creatively and strategically about the future of legal content and AI

Qualifications

• 8 years experience in commercial contracting in an in-house context, working with a wide range of common contracts
• Systems and project thinker who thrives in successfully planning, executing, and managing detailed and complex work 
• Demonstrated ability to hire, lead, and coach high-performing people
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and directly with customers and internal stakeholders
• Customer-focused and driven to set a high standard and continuously improve
• You have a bias for action
• Relentlessly resourceful – able to get things done despite constraints, roadblocks, and setbacks
• Preferred
• Technical experience or experience working with technical/AI teams is a plus
• Japanese language skills are a plus, to collaborate with members of our global team based in Japan
