Executive Assistant Office LeadWe at Leggett & Platt Flooring Products, are searching for an Executive Assistant / Office Lead to support our Branch Management and Office team in our Aurora, IL Branch. The Executive Assistant / Office Lead will work closely with the Branch, Office, and Regional HR Managers on a daily basis while supervising an office team of four. This role provides the opportunity to grow through diverse responsibilities every day in our manufacturing setting.Did you know Leggett & Platt Inc. is the largest manufacturer of carpet cushion and hard surface underlayment in the United States? Our Flooring businesses manufacture and distribute foam, rubber, and fiber-based flooring underlayment for residential and commercial use. Our flooring underlayment products provide support, cushioning, and noise reduction under virtually any finished flooring material in your home or business. If you join our team, your work will ensure people across the world have a little more comfort in their lives.POSITION SUMMARY:We are looking for a unique individual, someone that likes to dabble a little in everything with potential for growth and learning on the job. We are looking for someone that have 3-5 years work experience or proven promotions from previous careers. If no work experience, then a stellar motivation to sell us on your eagerness to learn and grow and why you would fit this position. This job won’t be easy, monotonous or boring, but it will be challenging, and you will learn a lot. You will be working with upper Branch Management learning as you go and grow with the company. This individual will touch many facets of the company from finances, customers, operations, purchasing, employee relations, and other HR related duties plus much more. The individual we are looking for is someone that is very independent and able to figure things out on their own or seek out answers on their own, with little hand holding.ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Preferred 3-5 years of work experience and proven promotions from previous employer. If no work experience, sell us on why you are the best candidate, we will consider everyone.
  • Must be bi-lingual to communicate w/ all vendors, internal employees, and job candidates.
  • Must want real-life experience of helping run and grow a business.
  • Must be able to talk to customers, offer customer service support both to internal colleagues and our internal corporate team.
  • Must be able to change pace very quickly, jumping from working on one thing to the next.
  • Must be able to problem solve individually and independently; we run with a lean staff and cannot afford to babysit.
  • Must be reliable, on time, flexible in schedule and we will return the flexibility when need be. But we are looking for a professional that understands we run.
  • Most importantly, we are looking for a long-term, loyal an invested employee that sees room to grow in any direction once they get started with us.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Must be able to create graphs and have advanced technical skills or willing to learn on your own.
 As part of ISO 9001and to ensure continuity in the office during illnesses, vacations, leave of absences, etc., all positions in the office are required to cross train into other office positions as directed and coordinated by the Office Manager. Must participate in Safeguard, the Leggett & Platt Safety Management Policies and Procedures.The Office, Branch, and HR Manager reserve the right to update and change job descriptions and work instructions.
