As a Real Estate and Environmental Paralegal you will have the opportunity to research laws, investigate facts, and prepare documents. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by supporting our attorneys with land acquisition and disposition transactions.
So, what will you be doing as a Real Estate and Environmental Paralegal?
  • Review surveys, title commitments, and exception documents.
  • Prepare documents relating to a variety of real estate matters based on consultation with business clients and review by attorneys, including but not limited to purchase/sale agreements and leases.
  • Prepare ancillary real estate transaction documents such as escrow instructions, deeds, easements, owner’s affidavits, closing certificates, entitlements, etc.
  • Provide general assistance in real estate matters, including review of lien and other legal notices related to real estate.
  • Proofread legal documents to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Analyze and summarize documents, regulations, and statutes for review by attorneys.
  • Work closely with attorneys and other corporate departments to resolve a variety of day-to-day issues and supporting a broad range of commercial transactions and projects.
  • Perform legal due diligence.
To Be Successful In This Role, You’ll Need
  • 3 years of real estate transactional experience
  • Must be or be eligible to become a Missouri notary public
  • Effective time management and prioritizing work assignments to consistently provide high-quality work product within stated deadlines
  • Thorough understanding of reviewing and analyzing title and survey documents, preparing work product relating to that and negotiating title policies in connection with land acquisition and disposition transactions
  • An understanding of real estate-related environmental issues is a plus
