JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Human Resources Administrator

Reports To: Assistant Executive Director/Director of Human Resources

FLSA Status: TBD

SUMMARY

The Human Resources Administrator performs a variety of tasks to support the daily operations of the Human

Resources department (“HR”). The HR Administrator will be managing various HR documents such as

employment profiles, onboarding checklists, company policies, and HRIS. They will also assist in the hiring

process and will also be responsible for managing New Employee Orientation, ongoing Training Logistics and

Record keeping.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

 Organize, maintain, and update internal databases with personnel records of relevant employee

information.

 Assist with new employee onboarding and conduct orientation sessions.

 Maintain physical and digital files for employees and their documents, benefits, and attendance

records.

 Ensure legal compliance.

 Schedule job interviews, contact, screen, and shortlist candidates as needed.

 Assist with recruiting workflow in Applicant Tracking System including correspondence with candidates.

 Administer background checks, and other pre-employment screening.

 Handle employee inquiries, written or verbal, with the utmost confidentiality.

 Keep up to date on current issues and matters related to the HR department.

 Frequently interact with managers and heads of various departments to disseminate information.

 Ensure appropriate HR policies and procedures are in place.

 Maintain accurate and up to date HRIS database.

 Performing HR file audits

 Coordinate unemployment benefits/denials.

 Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

 Associate degree; Bachelor’s degree preferred

 Minimum 2 years of experience in related field

HOURS OF WORK

Full Time; Occasional weekends

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals and work instructions. Ability to write

routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak and communicate well with consumers and staff.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

 Must demonstrate strong ability to maintain confidentiality

 Excellent verbal and written communication skills

 Advanced computer skills, including data entry, data processing, communication tools and payroll and

human resources software

 Problem-solving skills and resourceful thinking

 Strong empathy and interpersonal skills

 Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
