Leitner Poma of America is Hiring an Electrical Service Technician I Near Grand Junction, CO

DescriptionJOB SUMMARYLeitner-Poma of America, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Electrical Service Technician to assist customers, trouble-shoot problems with existing equipment, modify/upgrade existing installations, and install new electrical equipment on projects throughout North America. This is a full-time, hourly position hiring at $22.00-$26.00 per hour based on relevant experience & certifications.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Supervise the electrical portion of Chair Lift Projects throughout North America.
  • Assist and troubleshoot customer’s problems on existing lift installations throughout North America.
  • Oversee seasonal or contracted electrical tradesmen work and ensure duties are performed properly and within the deadline set for the project.
  • Assist the Electrical Department Supervisor with customer-estimated costs incurred during electrical installation, repair, and maintenance.
  • Work in a professional tradesman-like manner and ensure that trade best practices is followed.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines while completing each project efficiently.
  • Coordinate orders and equipment supply with company factory and external suppliers.
  • Communicate between other departments within the company and customers on all electrical projects.
RequirementsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma/GED Equivalent.
  • Experience with installation and maintenance of AC and DC drives and PLC controls (Allen Bradley and ABB).
  • Understanding of complex control and safety circuits.
  • Ability to travel up to 80% of the time with a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to work in inclement weather in a mountainous environment at heights in excess of 20 feet.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Authorized to work in the United States of America.
  • Proficient in the English language.
Desired Qualifications
  • Journeymen or Master Electrician.
  • Ski Industry experience.
  • Third or fourth year electrical apprentice.
