Description

Job Scope: St. Augustine Ocean and Racquet Club General Manager

Position Title: General Manager

Location: St. Augustine Ocean and Racquet Club

Reports To: Board of Directors/Director of Leland Management

Position Type: Full-Time

Objective:

The St. Augustine Ocean and Racquet Club General Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the St. Augustine Ocean and Racquet Rental Condo Association as well as the onsite short-term rental program. This involves managing a dedicated staff, maintaining high standards of service, and strategizing to implement long-term performance goals that will enhance revenue generation for the Association's short-term rental program.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Management:

- Oversee all daily operations of the condo association and short-term rental program.

- Ensure the property is well-maintained, clean, and meets the highest standards of hospitality and guest satisfaction.

- Manage relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure quality and cost-effective services.

2. Staff Management:

- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of employees, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.

- Schedule and coordinate staff duties to ensure efficient and effective operations.

- Foster a positive and productive work environment.

3. Financial Management:

- Develop and manage the budget for the Association and the rental program.

- Monitor financial performance, identify areas for cost reduction, and implement strategies to improve revenue.

- Prepare financial reports for the Board of Directors and stakeholders.

4. Guest Services:

- Ensure exceptional customer service is provided to all guests and owners.

- Address and resolve guest complaints and issues promptly and effectively.

- Implement and monitor guest satisfaction programs.

5. Marketing and Revenue Management:

- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the short-term rental program.

- Optimize pricing strategies to maximize occupancy and revenue.

- Monitor market trends and adjust strategies accordingly.

6. Compliance and Safety:

- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

- Maintain safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety and security of guests and staff.

- Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes.

7. Long-Term Planning:

- Develop and implement long-term strategic plans for the property.

- Set performance goals and objectives to drive revenue growth and operational excellence.

- Collaborate with the Board of Directors to align on long-term vision and goals.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in property management, hospitality, or related industry.

- Proven leadership and team management skills.

- Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

- Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Compensation:

$65- $70 K plus Revenue incentives to be paid out quarterly.
