Job Description
Staff Accountant needed to assist in maintaining financial records for a well-established company in the Sparrows Point area of Baltimore. Job duties would include processing accounts payable and accounts receivable and manage invoices and payments. Our ideal candidate has experience with intercompany transactions and is familiar with Microsoft Business Central.
Responsibilities:
- Process daily financial transactions while verifying that transactions are recorded in the correct accounts
- Oversee and ensure that all accounts are paid in accordance with company leadership priorities
- Assist in the month-end closing process
- Check the accuracy of business transactions
- Respond to all customer and vendor inquiries in a polite and timely manner
- Perform data entry and administrative duties
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in accounting, finance, or other related fields
- Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Strong organizational skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
