- Must have regular, reliable and punctual attendance.
- Candidates should have previous participation and/or coaching experience in the sport of Girls swimming & diving at the high school level, or higher, with varsity head coaching experience preferred in a candidate. Coaching experience should have occurred in the past 5 years to be considered valid.
- Candidates should hold current CPR/AED certification & lifeguarding, or have the ability to obtain it prior to the start of the 2024-25 season.
- Candidates must have a strong knowledge of rules, techniques, and strategies for the sport of Swimming & Diving.
- Candidates must have the ability to implement and oversee a credible offseason program, which includes strength development of swimmers at all levels, as well as competitive opportunities for the team members.
- Candidates should be a member of, or be willing to join the state coaches association prior to the 2024-25 season.
- Candidates should possess and be able to articulate/demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills.
- Candidates should be able to articulate and demonstrate a vision and philosophy for the advancement of the Swimming & Diving program at APS, for grades 6-12 and youth programs.
- Candidates must be willing to be involved in youth programs for APS students in grades K-5 as well. This plan should be provided in writing at the time of any subsequent interview with the committee.
- Candidates should have the ability to use video and other computer technology to enhance coaching and learning in the swimming & diving program at AHS.
- Candidates must demonstrate a willingness to become involved in the Maple Fans Club, our athletic booster organization, as a member and supporter of Club activities.
- Candidates must be willing to learn and follow all Adrian Athletic Department policies, as well as all relevant Adrian Public Schools policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
