Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their safety, well-being, and quality of life.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Administer medications and monitor vital signs as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Implement individualized care plans and document observations and progress.
- Promote independence and encourage individuals to participate in community activities.
- Advocate for resident rights and ensure a safe and supportive environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized living space for residents.
Experience:
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in a similar caregiving role is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
