Job Summary Provide overall technical management for all construction operations, including direct supervision of foreman, subcontractors, and other construction related personnel. Directing them in planning, coordination and execution of work on time, within budget, attaining or exceeding profit goals, maintaining a safe work place, promoting and enhancing client relationships and the company image. Looking for someone who is - Well versed in mechanical systems -Experience in commissioning as well as diagnostics. -Knowledge of BIM modeling preferred Healthcare Project Located at 1345 3rd Ave Essential Job Functions, Duties and Responsibilities The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. Maintains a robust understanding of safety requirements for all aspects of the site, including pre-planning, monitoring of construction activities and site conditions, and taking corrective actions to non-compliant work. Driving the Lendlease EHS initiatives on a daily basis with the trades/subcontractors. May instruct, coach and/or direct the day-to-day activities/assignments of others without management responsibility for Lendlease employees. Sequences multiple complex scheduling challenges in a logical manner. Ensures temporary works and safety risks associated with the construction methodology are documented and mitigated, where possible. Adheres to timelines and manages workflow according to demand. Can develop well-structured and realistic work plans with clear breakdown of tasks. Allocates own time and resources effectively. Manages the delivery of commercial outcomes by ensuring subcontractors are clear about the performance expectations for their role and effectively addressing any performance issues in a timely manner. Seeks out knowledge of specific construction trades and an awareness of their technical capabilities. Applies this awareness to problem solving Demonstrates advanced knowledge and experience in a specialized field and leverages such knowledge to plan, track progress and deliver project milestones. Has a solid understanding of the skills and expertise of the broader team and harnesses the relevant professionals to maximize success. Accountable for raising any concerns relating to compliance implications for the team or project. Manages the delivery of commercial outcomes by ensuring employees and subcontractors are clear about the performance expectations for their role and effectively addressing any performance issues in a timely manner. Uses judgement to identify necessary adjustments to project scope, approach or deliverables based on changing requirements. Applies strong logic to identify the best approach and methodology to diagnose core issues. Identifies a range of potential solutions, selecting the most appropriate course of action given the scenario. During project execution, evaluate construction progress and quality of work to ensure projects are built on schedule, within budget, and adhering to safety and quality standards. Identify and act on corrective steps if necessary to mitigate deficiencies or minimize risk. General Background and Minimum Requirements 4-year degree in an accredited industry related curriculum, or experience equivalent to a 4-year degree Three to Five years’ experience as a Superintendent II, or Eight to Twelve years construction related experience Demonstrated proficiency in managing site activity, labor relations and union agreements, anticipating and resolving field related issues, establishing and enforcing site schedule requirements Prior success managing site safety and insurance risks Knowledge of basic computer applications and software such as MS Office and construction scheduling programs as used by the company Diverse project experience Proven staff training abilities on technical issues as well as company policies and processes Ability to safely navigate conditions present at a construction site, including climbing ladders, cluttered areas, working in bad weather, hazardous areas, dark conditions, and maneuvering uneven surfaces etc. for the purpose of inspecting progress Base Salary Range NY: $172,000- $236,000 The above salary range represents Lendlease’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible base compensation range at the time of posting and is one part of the total rewards Lendlease provides to employees.
